Production Welding Capabilities

Different projects require different approaches to welding. That’s why IMH continuously invests in cutting edge technology and commits to mastering the most effective production methods.

METAL INERT GAS (MIG) WELDING
Perhaps the most common industrial welding process, MIG welding, also called gas metal arc welding (GMAW), is known for its speed and adaptability across projects. In an arc welding process, MIG relies on a welding gun that feeds a continuous solid wire electrode, as well as a shielding gas, into the weld pool to join metal parts.

RESISTANCE  METAL WELDING
Resistance welding, or spot and seam welding, relies on pressure and localized heat—produced by electric currents—to fuse metal parts. This technique is incredibly cost-effective, as it does not require additional materials to complete the weld.

TUNGSTEN INERT GAS (TIG) METAL WELDING
TIG welding, also known as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), is an arc welding process that relies on non-consumable tungsten electrodes to produce welds. Commonly used to weld thin sections of stainless steel, as well as aluminum, magnesium, and copper alloys, TIG grants the operator more control over the welding process, creating stronger, higher-quality welds.

ROBOTIC WELDING
IMH provides our OEM customers with high and low volume robotically welding components and sub-assemblies on our 4 robotic welding cells.  IMH’s engineering team can develop the fixturing, process, and programming needed to complete the most challenging welding projects in carbon, stainless, or aluminum.

Setting the Standard for Modern Manufacturing Partnerships
A dual commitment to increasing efficiency and pursuing growth drives IMH’s partnerships. We align our production of steel and aluminum parts and assemblies with each customer’s planned consumption, eliminating excess inventory and hidden expenses. By investing in the most advanced machining technology and empowering employees to develop creative solutions, IMH is able to handle any level of demand.
